Moms need camp too.

The camp experience can be transformative for kids. Away from the routine of day to day life they build friendships and find community, they build confidence, and they learn a little more about who they are as individuals. But why is that experience only for kids? Moms need all those things too! 


The Location

Mom Camp: The Camp takes place at a retreat and educational centre located on 165 hectares of ecological reserve in Paradise Valley, near Squamish, British Columbia. 

Named by The New York Times as one of the top 52 Places to Go, the area offers endless year-round recreation from hiking, biking, fishing and wilderness camping to cabin getaways. 

Squamish is nestled between Vancouver and Whistler along the Sea to Sky corridor, one of North America’s most scenic coastal routes. Its spectacular 360-degree views range from snow-capped mountains to glacial lakes to old-growth forests to the turquoise waters of the Howe Sound fjord that look almost too good to be true.

A Certified KonMari Consultant, Randeep is the founder and President of ClutterLess Living.  Being an avid reader led her to Marie Kondo's The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing. She found joy in implementing the KonMari methodology in her home, and this led to ClutterLess Living. Randeep has two children, an 8 year old girl and 5 year old boy, which helped her create skills to support clients with families that need support and structure to help with the day-to-day life. The organizing process was invigorating and allowed her to make personal life decisions with fewer obstacles in the way. She enjoys supporting her clients in their quest to bring order to their homes. 


The Accommodation

This is camp, but it's Mom Camp. All cabins have electricity, heating and plumbing (yes, you can shower!). The log-style cabins are tucked away in the forest, which make for peaceful surroundings reflecting life of simpler, less hurried times. Surrounded by nature trails, towering cedars and grassy outdoor spaces, this location lets you experience nature in its truest form. Almost all beds are bunk beds, and bedding is provided, no sleeping bags necessary!

The Schedule

Mom Camp: The Camp takes place November 1-3, 2019. Arrival will be Friday afternoon and departure will be after lunch on Sunday. The two nights and three days will include personal development workshops, fitness classes, social time, outdoor activities and lots of down time for relaxation and rejuvenation! The final schedule will be sent out to all participants closer to the date.

Fitness classes

There will be several fitness classes offered throughout the Camp, by qualified instructors. The classes are optional but will be fun and a great way to get your body moving and feeling great. 


We have a great schedule of sessions, with presentations and workshops with subject experts including a child and parenting psychologist, a naturopathic doctor,  and a body positivity expert. 

Social time

There will be lots of social time! The meals, Campfire, and activities will all be great social gatherings where you can meet new friends and strengthen relationships. Did we mention the pyjama dance party? 

Outdoor activities

We will be in the middle of a forest, on the edge of the Squamish River. Of COURSE there will be outdoor activities! Nature walks, eagle viewing, hiking, and more to get you out in the beautiful West Coast air.


A Healthy Life(style) Fit for You

What does it really mean to be healthy? Do you have to hit the gym or do HIIT? What is the right way to eat anyway? Why do some people seem to “get it” and I still struggle? In this 1-hour interactive presentation learn how you can step off the “wagon” and into an empowered approach to lasting health and fitness - one designed to fit YOU. In this session, you’ll learn how your health is as unique as you are. Change your perspective on what health and fitness “looks like” and learn how to develop a lasting practice of health designed to bring you JOY.


What's Mom Camp without wine?

Mom Camp has partnered with Evolve Cellars as a sponsor of Mom Camp: The Camp. Evolve Cellars’ President & CEO Christa-Lee McWatters will host an education session and tasting of BC wines, and campers will enjoy tasting the different wines that Evolve offers throughout the weekend.

Evolve Cellars is based in Penticton, British Columbia. Their intention is to craft friendly and approachable wines, providing a pure expression of the grapes grown by their south Okanagan grower partners. 


Did you say axe throwing?

We did! One of our activities during The Camp will be hucking axes at targets. Why? Because it's awesome, totally empowering, and a lot of fun. 



Emotional Empowerment through Holistic Self-Care

Veronica is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who is passionate about promoting maternal wellbeing throughout our communities.  In her session she will provide a space to delve into the challenges of motherhood today and an opportunity to truly reconnect with ourselves as women.  With emphasis on emotional wellbeing, this session includes tools and exercises to expand self-care by honouring our emotional and authentic selves.  By embracing our emotional experiences we can cultivate the calm amidst the chaos, with a life enriched by living authentically.


The Food

You will eat well at Mom Camp! With locally sourced and thoughtfully prepared meals, the Executive Chef and team are committed to delivering the best food they can to ensure that Campers are healthy, happy and energized! Accommodation can be made for special dietary requirements.


Julie is a naturopathic physician and founder of Restoration Health Clinic, a natural health clinic focused on women and children's health.

Easing Through Hormonal Obstacles: Balance Energy levels, Stress, and Aging Using Natural Medicine.

Her session will discuss:

  • How our female physiology changes after we have children and as we age
  • How stress impacts our female sex hormones
  • How our energy levels drop due to some key hormonal shifts
  • How to find the root cause of hormonal imbalance in our own bodies

You will learn:

  • Key nutrients and foods that boost hormone production
  • Important nutrients to consider in the aging process
  • Lifestyle tools you can easily integrate to reduce stress and the aging process
  • To create your own natural medicine health plan that supports your systems in need

Mom Camp's Birthday Party!

Did you know that Mom Camp turns ONE while we're at Camp? The Saturday night we will celebrate with an awesome dance party, with fantastic music and tasty beverages provided by Nude Vodka Soda. Comfy pajamas encouraged.


Mama, elementary school teacher and awesome fitness instructor and coach, Jenn will be leading two of our workouts during The Camp. Her classes are relaxed but high energy, no pressure, just good cardio fun with awesome music.  



Come with a group of girlfriends or on your own, meet new friendships and expand your "Mom Village." This is a no cliques, no judgement space and we are all here to support each other and lift each other up.


Cate is a Professional Certified Coach, presenter and Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator who integrates the research of Dr. Brené Brown into her life and career. As a mother of 3 children, 16, 12 and 8, she is no stranger to the good, the bad and the ugly of parenting. Motherhood can feel like a rollercoaster ride from joy filled moments to minefields of ‘not good enough’ and Cate is thrilled to share the practices you can use to develop more courage, self-compassion and resilience in today’s world of parenting.

The Workshop:

Cate will share practices based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown that support in building more self-compassion and courage as a Mom. And since this is camp, we will do a little art project to move the material from our heads to our hearts through our hands!

One-time credit card payment of $797. Prices are listed in Canadian dollars. 


Frequently Asked Questions

Registration includes accommodation, all meals and activities. Transportation is not included with registration. Travel directions and free parking will be provided for those driving, and we will look at the option of chartering a bus (for an additional cost) if there are enough Campers needing transport from downtown Vancouver.

Nothing at Mom Camp: The Camp is mandatory, this is your time to do with what you choose. (The price includes all workshops and can't be pro-rated if you choose not to participate.)

A complete packing list and all details will be send out to all campers closer to the Camp. You will need to bring all clothes, jackets, boots and hats for the weather, toiletries, and a flashlight. You can also bring a yoga mat if you choose. 

The standard cabins can accommodate up to 18 people (9 on each side), with a minimum of 10 campers per cabin. Every effort will be made to ensure that your bunkmate requests are accommodated. 

Absolutely. The Executive Chef and kitchen team will be notified of your needs well in advance of Camp, and alternate meals will be made available for you. The Camp has a strict "no food from home" policy as they cannot have food stored in the cabins, but any medically necessary food can be accommodated with Cheakamus Centre. 

There is cell service at Camp, but the wifi is very limited. While there will be many Instagrammable moments, the Cheakamus Centre encourages a "Disconnect to connect" policy, to take advantage of the natural surroundings, to unplug and to reboot with friends, associates and new acquaintances.

If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply, with no exceptions. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), but we have costs already incurred when reserving retreat centres and activities. We have designed our cancellation policy to be as accommodating as possible in the case that your plans change. But to protect yourself further, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.

  • 30 days or more prior to the start date of the retreat: a full refund less $150 Cdn administration fee will be given.
  • 0-29 days prior to the start date of the retreat: no refunds will be given.

This is Mom Camp. Of course there will be wine. 

Nope. This Camp is definitely not a sales exercise. The presenters are mostly working professionals and may indeed have books, courses or programs available, but other than mentioning they exist, there will be no sales activity at The Camp. This weekend is about YOU, your personal development, your friendships and your downtime.
